Telehealth

Finding a therapist in a rural community can be difficult; the drive, the planning. It’s a lot. Maybe there are counselors or therapists in your community, but you don’t want to see someone local for privacy reasons.  And finding time for therapy can be tough, taking time off from work to drive across town, an hour appointment, then drive back.  Perhaps you don’t have reliable transportation.  All of these situations can make it feel like therapy is too much work, or just… a lot. Those concerns can be addressed with Telehealth.

How Telehealth works:  Once you call or email us, we’ll send an email link for your intake paperwork.  You use that link to go into your portal and complete all the paperwork online.  We set up your appointment and we send you a link to our meeting place, which is supported by an online video service that ensures privacy (HIPAA compliance) but works like a Skype video call.

All you need for a successful telehealth appointment:

  • Reliable internet connection

  • A pair of headphones

  • Space you’re comfortable

  • Privacy

No, telehealth is not the same as coming into the office.  But in some ways it is better and it allows you to have service when you might not be able to otherwise while you remain in an environment where you’re most comfortable, like your own home.
